Tian' an Men in Beijing National Flag Guard is the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), which is engaged in raising and raising the national flag every day in Tian' an Men Square, and the flag-raising platform guards. [1] The National Flag Guard has the mission of guarding the national flag and carrying forward the spirit of patriotism.

Tian' an Men National Flag Guard, formerly known as the Tian' an Men National Flag Class of the Armed Police Force, took over from December 28,1982 from the Chinese People's Liberation Army garrison, and officially took on the task of raising and lowering the national flag and guarding the flag post in Tian' an Men Square. In 1990, the State Council and the Central Military Commission awarded the Tian' an Men National Flag Class the honorary title of "Flag Guard ". On May 1,1991, the national flag class was expanded to serve as an escort for the Tiananmen National Flag of the Armed Police. 

With the approval of the Party Central Committee, since January 1,2018, the people's Liberation Army has been responsible for the task of protecting the national flag and firing fireworks.  The Tian' an Men National Flag Guard of the Armed Police completed its historical mission and transferred to the honor guard of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. 

On the first day of each month, the number of flag guards increased from the past 36 to 96, and on weekdays, the number of flag guards increased from the past 36 to 66, better reflecting the majestic momentum and lineup.
